I trained with BrandonMichael aka Tin Man for the first time and man was it everything I had hoped it’d be and more! I started competing this year and I was ready to get out and shoot, but I was pleasantly surprised at what the day had in store. Shooting is always fun but the education and training we received was worth its weight in gold. I’ve always admired BrandonMichael for just the good hearted, respectful, passionate man that he is. You spend 5 minutes with him and you will hold yourself to a higher standard. In crazy times like we’re experiencing right now, his course gave me so much peace of mind and confidence. Don’t even think for a second you are just going stand around tossing bullets at paper, you are going to work, and work hard! BrandonMichael will push you, a lot of times past your comfort zone but its only because he can see the greatness in you and what you’re capable of. As a woman he had the upmost respect and consideration for me and I appreciated that so much, but at the same time I received no special treatment, I was part of a team and I participated as a team member. If one succeeded we all succeeded, if one fell, we all fell and he was right beside us the whole day. I have to give credit to his crew that day for taking time out of their day to be with us in making sure we all stayed safe, we appreciated having them there. The education I gained is priceless. I look forward to building upon that knowledge, hands on learning is my kind of learning, and boy will you learn. I came out of the day covered in dirt and sweat but filled with knowledge and no regret!

Brandonmichael Davis did a super job of training us at their training site Saturday July the 11th.. Our group of nine ranged from inexperienced people with new untested never before fired firearms. to people with extensive military and competition experience with well used firearms .

After the mandatory brief, Brandonmichael gathered us in a semicircle and went over his expectations, range operations and again drilled us on firearms safety.  He then took us one at a time to the firing line where he observed and evaluated and helped with two functions tests. The first was how we shooters functioned on his range, and second how our firearms functioned.  Brandonmichael brought both up to standard. It has been many years since I have run a range or been on one and I was asked, reminded, and drilled on the things I had forgotten.  I also observed as he gently firmly did the same with new shooters insuring that all demonstrated how to safely conduct themselves and shoot their firearms.

We then traveled to our range where we were again required to demonstrate our knowledge of safety rules and procedures.  Brandonmichael then demonstrated what we were going to do, after which we went and did it.  It was fun, exhausting informative skill building and confidence building as we learned and demonstrated: skills with our firearms; skills in reacting, recovering, and doing the actions necessary to protect and survive. Then we did it again as a team.

I have told my friends how good our experience was on the Range. I can’t wait to get back on the range with Brandonmichael, and they want to come too.

Brandonmichael is an excellent instructor. He makes sure everyone feels welcome and included from the very beginning of the class, men and women alike. He's direct with his instruction - no sugarcoating - which is very important for the nature of what he teaches. He works with the students to make sure they individually are learning and praises them when they show progress. "We train to standard, not to time" he likes to reiterate. He's willing to go the extra time to make sure the students are understanding and performing to standard. And he's clearly knowledgeable about what he's teaching; you can tell from both his demeanor and his ability to recite things (like when he starts reciting the Texas firearm code).As for the classes, the material is invaluable. He covers real-world scenarios that can come up anywhere, anytime, and drills into you what you need to do when they do come up so that you and your family will come away safe. Everyone should be familiar with how to defend themselves in dangerous situations, but also know the proper safety measures necessary to owning the tools needed to be keep oneself safe. I know that coming away from Brandonmichael's classes I feel much better-prepared to defend myself and my family if a "two-legged rat" tries to do something they shouldn't to me or someone I love, all thanks to Brandonmichael and his classes.I would recommend him and his classes to anyone and everyone.

The course given was coherent and effective. The method of training is not cookie cutter and is very hands on. The scenarios given are possible scenarios you could face in the real world. Brandonmichael makes you understand the purpose of your LTC and what to do and whatnot to do when carrying. Also Brandon Michael makes you feel comfortable from the start of the class. At the begging of the course my father in law was very nervous but once completed he felt comfortable with the knowledge given to carry a firearm safely and properly. I have participated in many gun training courses over the years and recently took the shooting portion of the Texas LTC qualification from BrandonMichael and he is AWESOME!  He is a no nonsense trainer who provided specific instruction on how to act if you find yourself in a life threatening situation and or under Texas law are protecting your property or any other situation allowed under Texas law.  

He specifically gave guidance on what to say to the person posing a threat, if you find yourself in one of these situations, so others around you are aware a dangerous situation is happening in their immediate area, and call out the dangerous person (example, he had us call a person and shirt color, clothing color, etc. to identify who is causing a threat), example, Hey sir, you with the red shirt and levis, put that knife down, get away from my wife! While saying this, moving to place myself between the person posing the threat and my wife (in this example). I'm sure examples vary to fit the people in his class. 

Regardless, his training will take you out of your comfort zone and place you in a real life situation, immerse yourself and BrandonMichael's training will help save your life and the lives of those whom you care about.

On 11 July 2020, I took the Advanced Handgun Proficiency 1 (AHP 1) course with Instructor Brandonmichael (BM) Davis.  Previously, I had taken my LTC training courses with BM and had a great experience so I was happy to take another course with him.

 The AHP 1 course was nothing short of outstanding.  The covered topics included safety, proper firearm care, threat assessment and de-escalation, threat elimination in different situations/scenarios, first-aid, target practice, proper behavior involving law enforcement officers, and responsible citizenship.  There was discussion/questions, demonstration, and quality practice on each topic.  You will learn how to better defend yourself individually and as a coordinated effort with others.

 There were about 9 students in the course with BM and two other instructors.  A class size of 5-10 is ideal to allow for coordination training without being crowded.  BM is an excellent instructor.  His style is direct, no-nonsense, and safe, with a emphasis on quality/understanding.  He teaches to standard, not for time – this is key.  His other instructors are well trained and very helpful.

 I would recommend this course to individuals with their LTC without hesitation.  10/10

I took the Entry course. I was extremely impressed and pleased with the class. I have owned and shot pistols for about 30 years, but never "seriously".
